On the second season of "The Bachelor," Aaron Buerge had found a fiance by the end of the season, but the engagement survived only a few weeks off-camera. Buerge and his television fiance, Helene Eksterowicz, reportedly broke off their relationship at a Starbuck's in New Jersey.

Now Buerge has some serious financial problems, and this time he's looking to end his relationship with his creditors. They would like to get $9.3 million from him. He claims only $2.3 million in assets, and has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.

After his semi-public breakup with Eksterowicz, Buerge eventually married. His new fiance was reported in 2009 as Angye McIntosh, and the bankruptcy petition, filed in Kansas City, lists a co-debtor named "Angie Buerge."

Mrs. Buerge is employed as a recruiter at Ozarks Tech Community College. The couple's combined income is listed just over seventeen thousand dollars a month, with fifteen thousand of that coming from Mr. Buerge's employment as president of First National Bank.

After the breakup with Eksterowicz, Buerge insisted that she keep the 2.78 carat diamond engagement ring. Later, he suggested they jointly sell the ring on eBay.

Now, in his bankruptcy petition, Fort Lauderdale Chapter 7 bankruptcy attorneys note, Buerge includes in his assets a diamond wedding ring, as well as a gold watch and a Chickering Grand Piano purchased 14 years ago for $15,000
